LVMH Luxury Group has launched a certification program called Web3 Fast Track to train its employees in Web3 technologies such as blockchain, cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and the metaverse.
The program includes personalized guidance from LVMH experts, hands-on exercises, and step-by-step tips for Web3 projects. Participants who complete the training receive an NFT token called Soulbound Token (SBT), which is considered proof of knowledge. These NFT certificates were built with built with Aura Blockchain Consortium.
LVMH is also exploring the use of NFTs to link real items, such as wine bottles, with virtual tokens. Bernard Arnault, director of LVMH, discussed the company’s NFT strategy at a recent annual meeting, stating that they are not selling virtual sneakers but rather actual sneakers using NFTs.
